Schedule Mails using Time Plans

This feature is under constant development and improvement.

Please read the https://kencha-software.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MPD/pages/98781 page carefully to understand how to activate the time plan feature. Please bear in mind that this feature is stated as beta future.

Using a time plan

When you click on the “send page” button on a page, you will notice that a new button appears in the mail page dialogue besides the send button. This button states “Schedule Mail”. To be able to schedule a mail with the new button, you must at least provide one mail address in the “Recipient(s)” field. The the “Schedule Mail” button will be clickable.

 

After click on the “Schedule Mail” button, you will be prompted with a pop up requesting scheduling rules from you. You able to configure scheduling rules by date & time. The cycles are possible by days, weeks, and month based on the “Sends every” count you can define individually.

The time plan can be finally defined with an end edge based on “Never, On, After”. The definition of theses options are:

Never

The time plan will not end.

On

On the defined date, the time plan will end automatically. On the defined date the time pan will not send a mail to the recipients.

After

The time plan will en after the defined date. This means on the defined date a the last mail will be sent out to the recipients.

 

After you have configured your time plan, you can find an overview of your time plans on the specific page in the confluence sub menu under “Mail Page Schedules”.

 

On the time plan overview for your scheduled mails you can view several details of the time plan:

Next Shipment

The date and timestamp when the next mail will be issued to the recipients

Interval

The cycle in which you configured this time plan

User

Which user is the owner and creator of this time plan

Status

Shows if a time plan is still ongoing or has ended. Ended time plans will be moved to the bottom table.

Actions

To manage time plans which are not needed or which inherits configuration errors, a delete option is available.
