Share Confluence Pages via Mail
What does Mail Page do?
Mail Page makes it possible to share a Confluence page and its content with anyone.
Unlike sending links to a page, Mail Page sends the actual content of a page via mail. The Confluence page is displayed as a HTML mail and uses CSS for some stylings.
Some page elements can't be displayed within the mail (for example the Linchpin Teaser).

Who can you share Confluences page with?
With help of Mail Page, you can share Confluence pages with Confluence users, Confluence groups or anonymous/external users via e-mail addresses.
Confluence users and groups can be picked with the built-in user picker. Anonymous/external users can receive a Confluence page via mail. To do so, you will have to enter the user's e-mail address (just like when writing a regular e-mail).
Share a page
Open any Confluence page you wish to share.
At the top of the page, you will find a menu bar. Click on the Send page button to open Mail Page.
Sender information
Select the sender of the mail.
Usually you can choose between the system user (confluence@your-confluence.com
), your personal Confluence user (your-name@your-confluence.com
) and a custom sender, where you can enter the sender's mail and name.
Recipient(s)
Enter the recipients in this field.
If you wish to send a page to a Confluence user, enter their name and Mail Page will list all users who exist in your system and match the data you entered.
If you wish to send a page to a Confluence group, enter the group's name and Mail Page will list all groups that exist in your system and match the data you entered.
If you wish to send a page to an external user, enter their e-mail address.
Subject
The subject/headline of the mail you send.
Per default, the title of the page will be automatically entered here. You can change it to whatever you want, of course.
Notes
Enter a message to your recipient here. This message will be displayed within the mail, just above the Confluence page.
Use this field to explain something visible on the page or just to remind your recipient(s) why you are sending them this page.
CC/BCC
Click on the CC or BCC button to open new recipient(s) fields.
You might be familiar with these functions from regular mails.
CC
Short for "Carbon Copy". Will send a copy of the mail to another recipient(s).
This function is usually used to keep someone informed on what was shared (for example, you could CC your manager so they know that external users received said information). CC recipients are listed in the mail as recipients and visible to everyone involved (and they can see every other recipient, too).
There is little difference between a regular recipient and a recipient who received a carbon copy of a mail. It's more of a tradition/etiquette to use CC for people who should be informed, but are not intended as a "proper recipient".
BCC
Short for "Blind Carbon Copy". Will send a copy of the mail to another recipient(s).
Recipients who receive a blind carbon copy are not listed as recipients in the mail! No one can track that said users received this e-mail.
Use this option to send a page to multiple recipients and to ensure that none of the recipients know about each other.
