Administration Guide
Macro Overview
When you open the Macro Security Manager Overview you you get all macros displayed which are available for your users in the confluence editor. What you can do in this overview:
On the right side you can use the switch from tile view to list view to get more information about your macros in your preferred view to manage the macros.
You can filter explicitly deactivated macros to see directly what is deactivated which saves you time when you have a lot of macros in use.
You can search specific macros by name to find them directly.
Â
If macros are deactivated they will not be visible within the macro browser or available by using the keyboard shortcut "{". There are two types of restricting macros:
General restriction
When deactivating a macro, the checkbox will move the color from green to orange. This indicates that the macro is now not available for your confluence users globally. After deactivation of a macro a new lock symbol will appear besides the checkbox which grants you the options to whitelist user and groups which could be granted specifically the right to use this macro.
Â
Whitelisted user or groups which are allowed to use specific macros
When a macro was deactivated and specific user and/or groups where granted to use this macro (whitelist), the appearance of the lock symbol will change into the the underneath behaviour.
By clicking in the lock symbol a dialogue will open, where you can see the current whitelisting and of course which allows you to update the user and group permissions accordingly to your needs.
