What does Mail Page do?

Mail Page makes it possible to share a Confluence page and its content with anyone.

Unlike sending links to a page, Mail Page sends the actual content including attachments of a page via mail. The Confluence page is displayed as a HTML mail and uses CSS for some stylings.

Here is an example of a Confluence page sent using the Mail Page app:

And this is how the sent content of the confluence page is displayed in a mail client:

Who can you share Confluences page with?

You can share Confluence pages with Confluence users or external mail addresses.

Confluence users can be picked easily in the recipient field by searching for the name of the user.

External e-mail addresses can be entered in the recipient fields (just like when writing a regular e-mail).

Share a page

Open any Confluence page you wish to share.

Option 1: Find the “Send page by mail” action under the title at the end of the metadata line of the page.

This opens the following small dialog box.

Option 2: Click on the sub menu on the right top corner of the page. When the sub menu opens find the “Mail Page” action at the bottom of the sub menu dialogue.

This opens a bigger dialog box, if you want to send to a lot of recipients or write a longer note:

CC and BCC

If you want to send a (blind) carbon copy, click on the CC and BCC button to show the fields:

Include Confluence page attachments to the mail

By default all Confluence page attachments are sent with the mail.

To prevent this, you can uncheck the "Include all page attachments in mail" checkbox.

Notes

Text in the note field will be displayed to the recipient at the top of the sent mail.
