First Steps Guide for Administrators

The following mini-guide is a simple “get me up to speed” understanding how the app and configuration works. We do not tackle the multiple general configuration options. These are described in the Administration Guide we recommend to read carefully.

This is a short and precise step by step guide to get you up to speed for your first app usage:

  1. Read the Administration Guide & the User Guide

  2. Navigate to your “Confluence Adminstration” → “Apps” section → “Data Classification”

  3. Create two data class fields in the “Data Class” tab

  4. Create a scheme in the “Scheme” tab

  5. Assign data class fields to your scheme by selecting “View Data Classes” in the “Scheme” tab

  6. Navigate to the “Space Configuration” tab and assign the Scheme to one or more spaces

  7. Add adjust your configuration based on your Compliance regulations and needs

Congratulations!

You have set up your first data classification scheme for your confluence pages. Now you can move forward individualizing the configuration and usage planning.
