Content Slider for Confluence - How to
The Content Slider for Confluence allows user to create and manage slides directly inside Confluence pages.
The slider supports the following information:
Text including formatting
Images
Attachments
Include the macro on your page
Use the macro browser or type in a semicolon on your page to get a list of functions. Search for the macro “Content Slider” and click on it.
After selecting the macro a pop will open up
Now you can create your first slides. Each slide is displayed on the left sidebar. Click on “New Slide” to create more slides.
On the right area of the macro you can add sections. The following sections are available:
Richtext
Image
Attachment
You can put multiple of these sections into one slide as you wish.
After finishing your slide configuration you will find on the top of the macro the “Settings” button.
In “Settings” you can configure the behaviour of your Content Slider macro.
Header Controls
This configuration allows you to hide the title of the slider to get a smooth slider look on your page without the title element.
Slider Direction
Our slider supports vertical and horizontal sliding directions which can be configured here.
Autoplay
Here you can decide if the slider is static or dynamic with an Autoplay. By activating the Autoplay you can set a time in which the slider automatically move to the next slide. The time is set by units of “1000” which reflects 1 second. This will also be explained in the macro itself.
Navigation Controls
Decide if slider controls should be visible for users visiting the page with your slider.
After you have configured your slider settings click on “Save” to secure your configureation.
Configuration of the macro in the edit mode of the page
When your slider is configured and ready you still have the option to decide the macro width behaviour.
Click on the macro to see the Confluence own macro settings. Here you can select the width behaviour for your macro.
